日本の航空会社の業界団体である定期航空協会は、日本オーケストラ連盟などの働きかけに対し、「気持ちはわかるが、特別扱いすると、楽器以外の大事な荷物を貨物室に預けたお客さんからみて不公平になる」と応えているそうです。

アメリカン航空でも、ユナイテッド航空でも、カナダ航空でも、エールフランスでも、また欧米の航空会社に限らずたとえば大韓航空でも、以前から楽器の機内持ち込みには特別規定を設けています。なぜ、日本でだけ不公平になるのでしょうか。
